Append-only. Every pricing change logged here per directive §1.8.5 and T&C 30-day notice rule.
v1.4 Launch Pricing (May 2026)
Kalku ships at v1.4 on the Personal axis only — Free, Lapo, Nepo, Odogwu. Pricing below is what new and renewing personal accounts pay from the v1.4 launch date forward.
Business is coming, we'll notify you when it's ready. The Business axis (Kalku Market and Kalku Mall) is documented below for reference but is not active in V1. Join the waitlist on the pricing page or email hello@kalku.ai if you need diary-level tracking for a business before then.

Free tier is monthly-drip: 150 units a month, refreshed on the 1st.
Odogwu uses a rolling fair-use ratelimit (50 actions per 2 hours) instead of a daily cap.
These are the values in force until 14 October 2026. Nepo and Odogwu prices and
capacities change on that date, and the Free plan moves off WhatsApp — see
Personal plan prices and capacities change at the end of this changelog.
Changes from v1.3 (May 2026)
This is a re-architecture, not an adjustment. Summary of what changed:
- Pro tier removed. Custom-package discovery (
hello@kalku.ai) replaces it as the path for users beyond Odogwu / Kalku Mall. - Solo Lite renamed to Lapo. Solo renamed to Nepo. No price change for these two tiers themselves.
- Odogwu added as a power-user personal tier with no daily cap.
- Business renamed to Kalku Market and split — Kalku Mall (10-contributor) added alongside.
- Lapo and Nepo annual capacities doubled (Lapo 600 → 2,000; Nepo 1,500 → 5,000). Annual prices unchanged.
- Free tier daily cap raised from 3 → 5 entries; monthly drip raised from 30 → 150 units.
- Trial caps decoupled from any tier name. Trial limits are configured independently and may be adjusted from
/cook. - Business subscriptions are now per-business. One Kalku Market or Kalku Mall subscription buys one business account; a user may own as many business subscriptions as they need.
- Referral programme launched — share your code, you and your friend each receive 200 units when they go paid.
Grandfathering: existing paid wallets continue to enforce against their tier_snapshot_at_issue (the snapshot taken at issue time) until renewal. At renewal each wallet is rebuilt against the new tier definition.
Lapo retired from public sale (22 July 2026)
What changed: Lapo is no longer offered for new sign-ups. The customer-facing personal plans are now Nepo and Odogwu. Lapo remains a valid plan — it is now assigned by the Kalku team rather than bought self-serve.
Reason: simplifying the personal line-up around the two plans that best match how people actually use Kalku.
Effective date: 22 July 2026 (immediate).
Existing Lapo members — nothing changes. If you are already on Lapo, you keep Lapo: same annual capacity, same daily baseline, same renewal date. Your plan is grandfathered — it continues to run against the terms captured when you subscribed, and renews as Lapo. You do not need to do anything.
Notice period: none required. This is a change to which plans are available to new customers; it does not change the price or terms of any existing plan, so the 30-day pricing-notice rule does not apply.
Annual capacities increased (23 July 2026)
What changed: the annual Kalku-unit allocation on the three paid personal plans was raised. Annual prices did not change, and daily baselines and daily maximums did not change — only the yearly capacity went up.

The current-state table at the top of this changelog reflects these values.
Reason: aligning each plan's yearly capacity with its daily baseline so a year of steady daily use maps cleanly to the annual wallet.
Effective date: 23 July 2026 (immediate). Notice period: none required — this is a capacity increase in the customer's favour; the 30-day notice rule applies only to changes that reduce what a customer receives or raise a price. Existing wallets were rebuilt to the higher allocation; nobody lost capacity.
Plan display names updated (27 July 2026)
What changed: the public labels on two personal plans changed. Nothing about price, capacity, or terms changed — only the names shown on Kalku's surfaces.
- The Free plan is now shown publicly as "Lapo" (₦0, still free forever).
- The plan previously shown as "Lapo" (₦15,000, assigned by the Kalku team since 22 July 2026 — see the entry above) is now shown as "Partner Account". Same plan, same capacity, same terms — new label.
Reading the earlier entries in this changelog: wherever an entry above says "Lapo", it refers to the ₦15,000 plan now called "Partner Account" — not the free plan that carries the "Lapo" label today.
Reason: aligning the public plan names with how the personal line-up is presented today.
Effective date: 27 July 2026 (immediate). Notice period: none required — no price or terms changed.
Personal plan prices and capacities change (13 September 2026)
What is changing. From 14 October 2026, the two paid personal plans change price and
annual capacity:

Odogwu keeps its fair-use ratelimit (50 actions per 2 hours) instead of a daily cap. Nepo's
daily maximum moves from 75 to 60, holding the same 3× rollover boost on the new baseline.
The Free plan's price and capacity do not change — still ₦0, still 5 entries a day with
the 150-unit monthly drip.
What is changing for Free: the channels. From 14 October 2026 the Free plan runs on
web and Telegram. WhatsApp becomes a paid-plan channel. The 14-day free trial also runs
on web and Telegram. This applies to existing Free accounts as well as new ones.
Reason. Two things, stated plainly. From 1 October 2026 Meta charges Kalku for messages
sent to you on WhatsApp — a per-message cost that did not exist when these prices were set.
Separately, the annual capacities on both paid plans had drifted well beyond what the plan
price supports, and are being brought back into line with it.
If you are already on a paid plan, nothing changes until your renewal date. Your plan
continues to run on the terms captured when you subscribed — same annual capacity, same daily
baseline, same price — for the rest of your current term. At renewal it is rebuilt on the
plan's new terms. Nobody's capacity is reduced mid-term.
Effective date: 14 October 2026. Notice period: 31 days, given 13 September 2026 —
meeting the 30-day rule in Section 3 of the Terms of Service, which applies here because this
change both raises a price and reduces what a customer receives.
Note on the date. This change was drafted on 8 September 2026 against an effective date of
9 October 2026, but the notice to customers was not actually delivered on that day — a fault in
our email path meant nothing was sent. Rather than rely on a notice period that had already
fallen below 30 days, the effective date was re-cut to 14 October 2026 and the queued changes
moved with it. Notice was delivered on 13 September 2026, giving 31 days. No customer was
notified on the earlier date, and no price changed in the interim.
Future changes will be appended below with: date, what changed, reason, effective date, and notice period given.
